LOVE this commercial. It reminds me of the many hamsters I had as a child, which was probably one of the goals of the marketers. They clearly have identified their target audience for this low-income, young/hip car. The hip hamsters break the mold of the everyday work ethic that middle-America follows. Instead they evolve and end up in the city, which is many young, college graduates' dream. By showing the hamsters who own this car as moving beyond the pack, they identify their target as trend-setting young adults who love the latest technology. The technology highlighted in this commercial is the MP3 plugin, a must-have car accessory for 16-30 year olds. Generation Y and beyond will quickly attract to this car with the flashy features and cool vibe set by this advertisement.
